Indian American Forum, under the leadership of Founding Member Dr. Bobby K. Kalotee and Chairwoman Indu Jaiswal, inspired the community with a Women Empowerment evening saluting women of substance who make a significant impact to the community.
Emceed by Flora Parekh, the organization brought together Empowerful Happiness Coach Diya Jaiswal and internationally famed renowned social worker, fashion designer and “Nari Shakti Puraskar 2018” winner Ruma Devi. Supported by Distinguished Board Members and Community Leaders – Vandana Govil, Animesh Goenka, Beena Kothari, Dr. Bhupi Patel, Smiti Khanna, Kavita Lund, Sunila Tejpal, Jasbir Jay Singh, Deepak Bansal and Many More the evening empowered everyone towards happy, healthy mindset and living.
Through her sixty-minute workshop on “The Psychology of Happiness”, Diya Jaiswal captivated the audience by sharing the secret of being happy and sharing the art of happiness, with a special focus on living happily in the post pandemic world. Her persistent efforts have influenced the lives of several globally, including her 200K Social Media followers.
A young self-started fashion designer from Indian Village, Ruma Devi, is associated with a network of over 30,000 rural women, training and linking them to the livelihood. She is an epitome of empowerment for all the rural and tribal women artisans of India. Her designer wear has made to many Local and International Markets and Fashion Show Ramps. Ruma is determined to provide the traditional craft of India, a well-presented look, and to provide benefit directly to the local community of artisans. A platform raised which states “For the artisans, by the artisans” and proudly highlights her work on rumadevi.com.
