Indian American Night 2025 – Press Release
The Nassau County Executive Hon. Bruce Blakeman, Indian American Forum ( IAF ), India Association of Long Island ( IALI ), and India Day Parade ( IDP USA ) jointly celebrated Indian American Night, under the leadership of Dr. Bobby Kumar Kalotee, chairman of Human Rights Commissions ,on June 22nd, 2025. It is part of Nassau County Department of Parks and Recreation’s ongoing International Nights series hosted at Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre, Eisenhower Park.On beautiful Sunday evening, June 22nd, 2025, several hundreds of members came out and attended the event. In spite of a very a hot summer evening it was a very pleasant atmosphere of hundreds of people enjoying the event with their small picnic baskets and chairs with beautiful serene lake at the back. The event reflected a true Indian culture of our rich heritage through performances of music, dance and singing . Over 110 kids aging from 3years old to teenagers representing different dance schools in and around Long Island took part in the event. The participants with their parents and grandparents came with vibrant energy in colorful costumes.. They had put the stage on fire with spectacular performances. A very special dance was performed by young kid Sia Nandrajog who stole the hearts of all audiences, she came all the way from California to New York to perform in IAF night. Each participants were awarded with a certificate, t- shirt and personal pan pizza.The program started with American National Anthem sung by Hanika Reddy Parvathala, followed by Indian National Anthem by Jyoti Gupta and group. Legislator Hon. Rose Walker welcomed everyone and thanked all the supporters. Dr Bobby Kumar Kalotee, Chairperson of Nassau County Human Rights Commission, introduced and Congratulated all Honorees for their contributions to the community. The honorees were chosen from diversified groups and professions. There were well known Physicians, independent Pharmaceutical Consultant, Entrepreneur, Deputy Commissioner, Organizational leaders and a young achiever. The Honorees are Dr. Narendra Mal Lodha, Dr. Purna Chandra Prasad Atluri, Dr Dinesh Jaiswal, Vinod Goyal, Mrs. Sunita Manjrekar, Mr. Senthilkumar Sivaprakasam, Ravindra Kumar and Riya Shah , A special honor was bestowed upon Anju Sharma and Nilima Madan at the end for their selfless community services.Heartfelt congratulations to dear Indu Jaiswal chair person of IAF and Bina Sabapathy, Cultural coordinator and their team for endless efforts flawlessly to put the event together. Thanks to all teachers and students of Hamsaasya School of Dance, Guru – Hamsini Kumble, Guru – Lakshmi Chadra Shekar, Mudra Dance Studio, Guru – Dr. Arti Datta, Nritya Saagaram Dance Academy, Guru -Satya Pradeep, Parai and Karagam by Newyork Tamil Academy, RS International NY, Guru: Shilpa Jurani, Rytham Dance Academy, Guru: Shilpa Mithaiwala, and Sadhanalaya School of Dance, Guru – Sadhana Paranji. A special thanks to Roy Anthony, Ryan Roy and team for their orchestra , a tribute to Father’s Day -a medley by JKJ Team led by Jyoti Gupta and Father Daughter team of Mittal Anil and Advita students of Mr. Dinesh Kumar Prabhakar..Besides the organizers and County representatives, thanks to Nassau County Deputy Park commissioner, Dave Franklin, Human rights commissioner Wioletta Dusza and Vimal Goyal, Deepak Bansal and Geeta Shukla, members of Asian American Affairs office, Nassau County Comptroller Elaine Phillips!, North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jennifer DeSena, Town Clerk Ragini Srivastava, Community leaders and volunteers, Mr. Jasbir (Jay ) Singh ,Beena Kothari, Bina Sabapathy, ,Anju Sharma, Nilima Madan, Dr. Neeru Bhambri, Dr Jag Kalra, Gobind Gupta , Jyoti Gupta, Brahashitha Gupta Sujata Seth , Anu Gulati , Dr Urmilesh Arya,, Dr Rajendra Modi, and others were present and had their share in making the event successful..Indian American Forum is thankful to The County, Parks Dept, Co Organizers, MPS Pizza LLC, members and volunteers for their support in making this event very memorable. Everyone enjoyed and left the event in high spirits The event concluded at 9:00 pm
